Notes On Blindness

The visual aspect of this VR piece is minimalist, allowing the audience to focus on its marvelous and immersive sound design; however, that doesn’t mean the visual part is simple or lame. Quite the opposite, the production team creates a delicate splatting-like space. It is an abstract spatial map composed of outlines, fragments, and shimmering effects, allowing the audience to immerse themselves without being distracted from the sound, which is the protagonist of this project.

The sound is the primary sense of this VR project. It makes me aware of how sonic textures, such as footsteps, raindrops, voices, and acoustic echoes, can be remixed and augmented to create a listening experience that beyonds reality, which really allows the audience to immerse themselves.
